2、ding agency cost contributions to the architecture effort will be sent out this week. The cost sheets have been updated to reflect the FY02 numbers keeping the agency contributions level. OIT is picking up the differences. New Information Domain Committee Members, Pam Brauner and Janelle Rackers, at

3、tended the MAEA training with the Integration Domain on Oct 1-2. A third person, DL Reagan (DNR), was unable to attend but will still be joining the team. The first meeting to welcome the remaining members and to get them up to speed on the domain activities is planned for October 15, 2003 at the re

4、gularly scheduled meeting time for the domain. The EA Policy, crafted by Tom Stokes and Scott, was submitted to the legislature for review and approval. Scott will be forwarding a copy of the proposed policy to all EA participants. Both the Infrastructure and the Integration domain have been kicked

5、off. The remaining domains are expected to be launched early next year. Now that there are five domains actively engaged in architecture activities and meeting regularly, Scott will start-up a monthly Domain Chair meeting. The intent of this meeting is for the domain chairpersons to get together and

6、 share information as to what activities are underway, planned, and completed. This meeting should help cross-domain communication and collaboration on cross-domain issues. The ARC will be meeting on October 14. The main agenda items will be the work being submitted by the Information Domain and an

7、update from the E-mail effort. There is also likely to be a discussion around agency specific/OIT architecture efforts and the intersection between them. This is important as MoDOT is getting prepared to launch an Information Domain (with an emphasis on GIT) and is hoping to reuse what the OIT domai

8、n team has accomplished. Scott circulated to the team a “Bid Package” that was prepared as a communication vehicle to several e-mail vendors. The package consisted of standards that were developed by the e-mail SWAT team and represents a great example of the impact architecture is having on contract

9、ing/purchasing activities. With documented architectural standards, the vendor recipients will all have a clear understanding of the States technical environment and directions. The vendors can then respond appropriately and will be evaluated internally in an objective fashion. The House Budget Comm

10、ittee is advocating a 10-15% general spending cut to the States (and agencies) IT budgets. As such, this may have an impact on the available future dollars for architecture efforts but at this time this is speculation. However, this did bring the topic of understanding and quantifying specific agenc

11、y spending on GIT efforts and technologies (including how much is received from Federal funding, etc). Tony took an action items to work through the GIS Advisory Committee in establishing these figures. Communications from the Domain Committee Chair (Presented by Tim Haithcoat) Tim met with MoDOT re

12、cently to discuss their interest in launching an Information Domain with a focus on GIT. MoDOT has identified a need to have GIT transportation standards in place prior to a major development effort currently scheduled to being in Jan 04. At this point in time it is yet uncertain as to how these eff

13、orts will interact with this particular domain committee however, it is anticipated that MoDOT will reuse, wherever possible, the artifacts already created by this domain team. It is expected that MoDOTs needs for specific standards and compliance components will also cause a shift in priority to th

14、e planned work for this domain team until the end of the year. This domain also hopes to leverage, and reuse where possible, the artifacts that will be created by MoDOTs domain team. Tim reported that he has started the process of developing the Local Government Review group for the Architecture pie

15、ces. He is seeking their council on the mix of participants. On the one hand it should not be so large that it becomes unwieldy but we do want the perspectives, knowledge, and experience that resides within the larger group. We can accomplish this (and get the buy-in of the larger community) if we g

16、et the participation from the movers and shakers within each group. We are thinking of the following groups. MACOG - 4-5 reps (both urban and rural)Counties - 4-6 reps (both urban and rural)City/Municipal - 4-6 reps (both large and small)We are also trying to accomplish crossover with the leadership other groups (ie.
