2、“放大（音量）”。open意为“打开”，反义词为close，常用来指打开或关上门、窗、盒子等。若表示煤气或水管的“打开”和“关闭”要用turn on, turn off，而不是open, close。【注意】on, off, up, down这四个词都是副词，在使用过程中，当宾语为代词时，只能置于动词和副词之间；当宾语为名词时，既可置于动词和副词之间，也可置于副词之后。如：Turn it on. 打开它。Turn the gas off. 把煤气关了。考点二 At the end of the day, the science teacher was very happy because th

5、young to go to school. 这个孩子太小不能上学。The tea is too hot for me to drink. （此处省略了drink的宾语it）这茶太热，我没法喝。【用法归纳】too.to. 意为“太怎么样而不能干某事”，表示否定意义，too为副词，后接形容词或副词的原级，to后接动词原形。在too.to.结构中不定式可带逻辑主语for somebody以说明动作的执行者是谁。若不定式的宾语与句中主语是同一人或物时，不定式的宾语应省去（反身代词除外）。too.to.结构中的不定式的动词为不及物动词时，应在动词后加上适当的介词。在too.to.结构中，当too与no
6、t或never连用时，或too后是easy, glad, pleased, ready等形容词时，too相当于very,表示肯定意义。too.to.可以转化为 so.that.和not.enough to.句式，但要注意not. enough to.中的形容词和too.to.中的形容词意义相反。如：He is so young that he cant take care of himself.他太小了，不会照顾自己。=He is not old enough to take care of himself.=He is too young to take care of himself. 考
