1、Unit 9 What does he look like? 听说课 SectionB (1a-1e ) 第四课时 Learning Goals:一、语言知识:(常用词汇和句型)nose , mouth , round , face , eye , singer My favorite singer is John Jackson. Hes tall and thin. He has short curly brown hair.二、语言技能:鼓励学生在Section A 的基础上继续学习从其他角度描述人物外貌,如:头发、脸型、五官、眼镜、职业等;同时通过听说活动,进一步巩固掌握描述人物外貌特

2、征的形容词、短语及句型结构。三、学习策略:通过所学知识,能够看图画完整的描述人的外貌;通过听力活动,能够根据所听内容中人物的外貌描述推断出正确的形象。四、情感态度:让通过描述同学、自己、偶像的外貌,简单地表达自己的观点或好恶,学会交换不同的看法,使学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人。并培养正确的审美观。五、文化意识:在英美等西方国家,fat作为形容词,描述人时意义趋于消极,往往使用一些意义中性的词heavy或委婉的词语heavy-set等。描述某人很瘦,常用slim显得更为礼貌。描述男人用handsome , 描述女人用beautiful , pretty 。通过描述不同人的外貌,对学生进行不

3、同文化意识的渗透。【设计意图】目标引领,表述了本节课的知识、能力、学习策略、情感态度和文化意识。Teaching and leaning steps: StepI. Pre-listening activities1. Shes beautiful .【设计意图】先让学生听一首英文短歌,让学生在音乐中学习描述五官的单词,然后展示一张小龙女的图片让学生根据所学的内容对其演员陈妍希的外貌进行描述,因为这是最近热播的电视剧人物,这样既调动了学生的兴趣又复习了上节课学习的内容。然后再出示几张图片让学生从其他角度再描述人物,如:头发、脸型、五官、眼镜等,让学生完成1a任务,同时引导学生用完整句子描述人物。如果学生语言能力较强,可让他们对人物进行更细致的描述,如果学生语言能力较弱,只需要求他

9、们分别用句子来描述1a人物特征即可。3. Have a competition ( 1b )The teacher shows students some pictures about famous people and tells them to have a competition. When you see the picture, please tell me who he / she is and what he /she looks like . You can stand up without putting up your hands. Then Ill give you on

11、的主观能动性,把被动的学习变为主动学习,在乐趣中让学生巩固了所学语言知识。4. Play a guessing game.Ask Ss to describe anyone in the classroom or describe his /her teacher of this class. Let the others guess.
