3、imminglikeslugs,tendingtoseekfoodwhichincludesprotozoans,tinysnailsandwormsatnightascarnivorouscreature.Planariansarehermaphroditesandtheirreproductiveorgansstarttodevelopinearlyautumn,buttheycannotinbreed.Mostoftheseindividualsareabletofullydevelop,whilesomemaybeabnormal.Andbecauseofplanariansremar

4、kableabilitytoregeneratelostparts,theyareoftenusedinbiologyexperiments.Inthisexperiment,wewillhaveanopportunitytoobserveandrecognizesomeofthebasicfeaturesofplanarians.Wewillbetaughttousescientificapproachtohypothesizehowplanariansrespondtofragmentation.Theplanarianwillbeworkedasmodel.Materialsandmet

5、hods:Materials:Stereoscope(Nikon),Handlenses,Petridishwithfrozenwater,Knife,Tweezers,Droppers,Filterpapers,Planarians.Methods:Part:Observetheplanarian.Usehandlensestohaveacloseobservationonplanarian,andrecordwhatareseenintableT-1.Identifythefollowingfeaturesandmakenotesaccordingly:color,shape,moveme

6、nt,length,symmetry,visiblebodyparts,responsestolight,foodandflippingtheanimalupsidedown.Summarizewhatwehavefoundout,andtrytofindconnectionsbetweendifferentaspectsofplanariansbiology.Part:ExploringregenerationinPlanariansbycuttingaPlanarian.Labelapetridishwithmarkpen.PlaceaPlanarianonwetfilterpaperpl
