2、a unique tool for biomedical imaging. It can provide quantitative structural information at sub-micron spatial resolution and maps of important trace elements such as Ca, K, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, which play important roles in metabolic processes of life. For biomedical research, three nuclear techniques a

These techniques can simultaneously provide elemental analysis and structural imaging with high analytical sensitivity and quantitative accuracy. Th
4、e talk will cover a brief overview of the nuclear microscopy facility at the Centre for Ion Beam Applications at the National University of Singapore, introduction of the three techniques used for biomedical applications and show how this is used for front-line biomedical research on single cells imaging and degenerative diseases such as Parkinsons disease and atherosclerosis.
