4、ni-skirt 后缀:amusement, settler, imagination, admission, careful, clearly一、教学内容分析本单元的话题是“主题公园”,教师可以从学生身边的或熟知的主题公园谈 起,帮助学生对这一话题有个较为全面的了解。“热身”(Warming Up)与“读前”(Pre-reading)部分,先以图片呈现不同风格的 主题公园,引起学生兴趣,然后提出问题,便于学生小组讨论。“阅读”(Reading)部分内容有趣,易于理解。作者不仅讲述了主题乐园与普 通公园的异同以及各种类型的主题公园,还指出了人们不仅可以在主题公园中 使自己身心放松并得到娱乐,同

5、时还可以从娱乐中获得知识和必要的体验。(Comprehending)部分,通过释读题目(THEME PARKSFUN AND MORE THAN FUN),明确建造主题公园的目的,帮助学生加深对本单元主题的理解。“语言学习”(Learning about Language)部分,涉及阅读中的重点词汇,归纳、 介绍了一些构词法知识,如合成法、派生法(前缀、后缀),对于学生有效的 记忆词汇、了解英语词汇的构成会有一定的帮助。“语言运用”(Using Language)部分,通过听、读和说、写的训练,介绍了深 圳的中华民俗文化村、法国的“观测未来”(FUTUROSCOPE)科技主题公园, 让学生在情

6、景中运用语言,同时了解不同文化背景、不同类型的主题公园,拓 宽视野。写作部分要求学生以义务导游的身份自选一个主题乐园,写一篇介绍 短文;说的部分、要求学生以“问路”为题,进行角色扮演。这些为学生提供了 更多使用本单元所学语言的情景和机会。“小结”(Summing Up)部分要求学生就本单元的话题、词汇和结构三个方面 进行归纳和总结。本单元语法部分的构词法对于英语词汇学习有着重要的意义。 可以结合学生用书附录中有关构词法的语法材料,小结合成法、派生法和转义 法。“学习建议”(Learning Tip)部分提醒学生注意在公园等场所的英语标志或说 明,抓住一切机会提高阅读能力,并比较汉语和英语的差别

7、。 本单元所涉及的要点是:(一)了解主题公园与一般公园的异同,以及主题公园半个世纪来的发展。 懂得主题公园带给人们的不仅仅是娱乐,还有各种各样的知识和激动人心的新 体验。(二)学习掌握本单元教学目的和要求中所列的词汇。(三)复习:掌握常用的“问路”用语。(四)复习归纳基本的构词法。(五)运用本单元所学,发挥想象,完成一篇介绍某主题公园的短文。 二、教学计划 本单元建议分六课时: 第一课时:Warming Up,Pre-reading, Reading Free-fall rides; Merry- go-round; Roller-coaster rides.Step4. 16、 Some words can be guessed by looking for smaller words within them. These are called compound words. Examples of compound nouns are theme park, fantasyland and English-speaking. Find out three types of compound nouns in the reading passage. The basic part of any word is the root; to it, you can add a prefix at the beginning and/or a suffix at the end to change the meaning.
