1、Astronomy the Science of the Stars Reading,一.材料分析,1. 教材的地位和作用 从教材整合上来说,reading部分是本单元 中心环节,它既是本单元的基本语言内容, 又为本单元后面的知识拓展和综合语言运用 奠定了基础。,2.教材内容 Reading部分讲述了地球上生命的起源,水的形成使得地球有别于其他星球,它使得地球上生命的诞生成为可能。科学家认为,地球上的生命首先诞生于水中,上百万年后,陆地上才长出绿色植物,随后出现了陆栖动物和水陆西栖动物。最初的动物卵化繁衍后代,后来出现了哺乳动物,人类也随之诞生了。,3.三维教学目标,知识目标: 1)掌握rea

2、ding部分中的重点单词和短 语;如:astronomy, solar system, atom, violent, atmosphere, globe, in time, oxygen, shellfish, amphibian, reptile, lay eggs, give birth to等 2)理解地球以及生命起源的过程.,能力目标: 1). 理解篇章结构,归纳段落大意。 2). 训练学生的阅读技巧, 掌握提取信息,分 析信息,解决问题的能力。 3). 通过本部分的学习,增强学生对学习科学的兴趣,激发学生探究科学的热情,培养学生的创造性思维,为学生开拓广阔的想象空间.,德育目标: 让

3、学生认知地球及生命起源的过程和全球 变暖的现象,教育学生要保护地球,保护环境。,4.教学重点和难点,重点:本课包括Warming up和文章阅读, 阅读量正常,难易度适中,因此将重点 放在对文章的理解上,特别是在阅读 中,如何提取信息,分析信息,解决信 息背后的意义上。 难点: 1. 掌握文章的主旨大意,整理出关 于文章结构的主要信息。 2. 展现并提高学生的语言表述能力,5. 高一学生特点: 1)对新教材以及本单元内容有一定了解适应,但自主学习习惯未养成,对教师依赖性较强; 2)对事物有好奇心,思维活跃,但思考不深入,逻辑性不强; 3)有一定数量的学生因为害怕出错而怯于在课堂上使用英语进行交
