It means “holy evening,“ and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it

Chrismas trees are made of evergreen tree like Fir trees and they represent the long lives.People put candles,flowers,toys,stars on the tree and they put chrismas present on the tree. On Christmas Eve,people sing an

But some people still celebrated in on April 1, so others called them April Fools. Each country celebrates April

11、 Fools Day differently. In France, people call the April Fools “April Fish”. They tape a paper fish to their friends backs to fool them. When he or she finds this , they shout “April Fish!”,In England, people play jokes only in the morning. You are a “noodle” if someone fools you. In Scotland, April

12、 Fools Day is 48 hours long. They call an April Fool “April Gowk”. Gowk is another name for a cuckoo bird.,In the America, people play small jokes on their friends and any other people on the first of Aprol. They may point down to your shoe and say, “ Your shoelace is untied.” If you believe them an

13、d look down to see, you are an April Fool then.,During their first winter, over half of the settlers died of1 starvation or epidemics. Those who survived began sowing in the first spring. All summer long they waited for the harvests with great anxiety, knowing that their lives and the future existen

14、ce of the colony depended on the coming harvest. Finally the fields produced a yield rich beyond expectations. And therefore it was decided that a day of thanksgiving to the Lord be fixed2. Years later, President of the United States proclaimed the fourth Thursday of November as Thanksgiving Day eve
