2、,Volumetric Sensor,Located in front of the 2nd row interior lamp housing Consists of a microcontroller, two acoustic transmitters and two acoustic receivers Powered by a feed from the CJB.,Battery Backed-Up Sounder (BBUS),The BBUS is attached to the plenum in the engine compartment, next to the brak

3、e booster In some markets, a tilt sensor is incorporated into the BBUS Externally, the two types of BBUS look the same The tilt sensor measures the longitudinal and lateral angle of the vehicle over a range of 16 from the horizontal.,Battery Backed-Up Sounder (BBUS),In the volumetric mode BBUS store

4、s the current angles in memory and monitors the tilt sensor readings. If the vehicle attitude changes in either direction by more than the alarm limit, the BBUS activates the sounder.,Status Indicator,Light Emitting Diode (LED) located in the instrument cluster, below the tachometer Provides informa

5、tion about the status of the alarm and immobilization system Controlled by the CJB using a hardwired connection with the instrument cluster 4 variations of flash, including off.,Anti-theft Alarm System Status Indications,Nuisance Alarms,The CJB can selectively disarm parts of the anti-theft alarm sy

6、stem, to prevent nuisance alarms being triggered, as follows: During park heating and cooling CJB will disarm volumetric sensing Battery voltage decreases to less than 9 volts the CJB will disarm the volumetric sensor and the tilt sensor If the vehicle battery voltage decreases from 9.5 to 9 volts i

7、n more than 30 minutes, the CJB will disarm the BBUS System supports Auto-relock after I minute.,Alarm Trigger Sources,The CJB stores the last ten alarm triggers in a trigger log, which can be accessed over the medium speed CAN bus using T4.,Alarm System Operation,Arming Perimetric mode, when the ve

8、hicle is either locked or superlocked from the remote handset or the door key lock (Emergency unlocking) Volumetric mode, when the vehicle is superlocked with the remote handset. 13、er coil CJB ECM.,Transponder,Integral part of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) with in the key Powered by a rechargeable battery The coil is also used to generate the current required to recharge the battery 27 transponders can be programmed to the vehicle system NB. Key 28 requires a new CJB.,Transp

14、onder,The transponder has a 256 byte Electronic Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM), which is programmed with vehicle identification data and a unique identification code. This information is stored in one of 30 key slots within the CJB. When energized, the transponder emits the coded in

15、formation which is received by the CJB. The CJB checks that the key is valid by confirming the received data before granting permission to start the engine. The information programmed into the transponder cannot be overwritten. If a key is lost or is no longer required, T4 can be used to disable the

16、 key to prevent it being used on the vehicle.,Transponder Coil,Located in a plastic housing which surrounds the ignition switch barrel Transmits data at a frequency of 125 kHz The transponder is excited when the ignition key is within 20 mm (0.78 in) of the transponder coil.,Central Junction Box (CJ

17、B),The CJB is the controlling component in the immobilisation system.,Central Junction Box (CJB),Replacement CJBs are not stock items and can only be installed on the vehicle for which they were ordered After replacement of a CJB: Car configuration information from the instrument cluster is automatically transferred to the new CJB T4 must be used to ensure that only those ignition keys currently in use with the vehicle are enabled in the CJB.,
