1、 Vowels单元音的音质取决于以下三个因素l一是舌头在口腔中位置的高低，即舌头前、中 、后哪一部分抬得最高；l二是牙床张开的大小，即张口程度是合、半合 、还是开；l三是唇形，发音时唇形是扁平还是圆唇。l在元音发音的过程中起关键作用的是舌头，因 此学习元音时就要重点学会正确调节舌位。元 音的音素也正是根据发音时舌位的变化情况进 行分类的。单元音可按发音时舌头前、中、后 哪一部分抬得最高而分成三类：前元音，中元 音，后元音。 注： 1.（Kenyon and Knott）是美式英语发音辞典 （A Pronouncing Dictionary of American English） 的俗称。 该
2、辞典所使用的音标一般称为KK音标 2. DJ音标 Daniel Jones Phonetic Symbol，简称DJ。 英国语音学家Daniel Jones根据IPA(International Phonetic Symbol)编了一本英国英语的发音辞典 English Pronouncing Dictionary, 被称为 “Received Pronunciation”（RP）（标准读音）KK音标是国际音标的一种，DJ音标也是其中的一种 。可是到了现在，这二种标准都已经过时落伍了。 英国另一位语音学家A.C. Gimson（他是Daniel Jones的学生，英国伦敦大学的语音学教授），将

6、h richlgreed gridi: 单元音 的盲点与辨析1. 短元音长化：ship-:p, sit-s:t, glasses- l:s:z2. 母语化: - 衣 big -毕, live-利v3，松紧未分: city- t busy-bz。原因：发音时嘴唇过于松弛。舌尖未抵下齿， 齿间间距过大, 发音舌位过于靠前,没用舌根小动作发音。注意：元音后若跟 着轻辅音（如peak, park, port），其长度便会大大缩短 。反之，适当加长 （如team, league）。注意：短元音后若跟着轻辅音（如hit, lip, luck），其长度较短；反之较长（如big, pig, mug）。i: i
