From the oracle to now, the evolution of the font through five stages: the Orakelknochen, bronzeinschriften,
2、 Siegelschrift, Kanzleischrift, and Regelschrift.Orakelknochen（甲骨文） is the characters used in Shang dynasty, only a few people that worked for the government could use it. It is primarily a turtle or animal bones with a knife cured on it. As the turtle and animal bones are hard, so the strokes mostl
3、y are straight with a thin and equality line. Orakelknochen is the first Chinese characters; it has early Chinese characters peculiarity: mostly like a picture, written in uncertain design, of uneven size, arbitrariness. Bronzeinschriften（金文） prevailed in the Zhou dynasty. It is cast bronze on the t
4、ext. Bronzeinschriften form and structure is similar with Orakelknochen, because of the word is engraved on its casting mold and make out. It is easy to write, so it is of stroke turn round, figure: size uniform, pictographic decreased, the word of improved styling, but still more different style ch
5、aracter.Siegelschrift（小篆） is given with the text books when the policy of unified font practiced in Qin Dynasty, Because it is a formal written unified font, after finishing, simplify the variant forms, so reduce the amount of different style characters, and laid a finite figure, it establish the Ch
6、inese characters “square shape“ basis. Siegelschrift is more symmetrical strokes, more circle line thicknesses, symbolic enhanced greatly, the phenomenon that characters like a picture that disappeared. Kanzleischrift（隶书） is produced in the Qin Dynasty and popular in han Dynasty. In parallel with th
7、e Siegelschrift Qin Dynasty, Kanzleischrift is the daily papers convenient fonts. Kanzleischrift is copy Seal hard to write, cannot adapt the need, it most used in document transactions in formal occasions multi-purpose. In order to facilitate fast writing script, Kanzleischrift turn round to seal t
8、he uniform thickness lines become square fold and stroke smooth. This Kanzleischrift become no longer hieroglyphic characters symbols. The change of Chinese script font is tremendous; therefore, Kanzleischrift became the separator of ancient Chinese characters and modern.Regelschrift（楷书） produced in
9、 the han dynasty and wei dynasty, popular in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, mature in tang dynasty, is still used today. It completely remove the official seal of the influence of oases, formed the perfect stroke system. Regelschrift features are: form founder, placing, stroke. It has become Chinese general font. Look from the calligraphy art in tang dynasty, the famous calligrapher are Yu Shi Na, Yan Zhen Qing, etc.
