3、的 高级英语是高等教育自学考试英语专业高 级阶段（本科）的精读课，属必考课程。在 语音、语调、词汇和语法的知识已经掌握， 全面提升学生听、说、读、写、译各方面 语言技能 课程重点 (1) 提高阅读理解和词汇运用能力，即能掌 握和使用所学的词汇，特别是同义词。近 义词的区分和使用，正确理解文章的内容 和主题思想，抓住文章的要点，分析文章 的结构、语言技巧和修辞特点； (2) 提高语言表达能力，即能用英语解释、用汉语 翻译文章中的难句，使用英语归纳文章的主题思 想，并能对文章的内容进行简单的分析、评论。 在这一阶段，学生应该能用辞典和其他工具书 独立解决语言和文化、背景知识方面的难点，提 高自学能
4、力，增加文化知识，尤其是所学语言国 家（主要是英、美）的背景和文化知识，更好地 使语言和文化结合在一起。课程内容 本课程共高级英语（上）和高级英语（下） 两册。 教材精选课文32篇，每册16篇。读懂这32篇课文， 并在此基础上完成课文后面的练习是考生的学习任务 。该阶段课文中出现了许多新的语言现象和文化、背 景知识，这也是学生应该掌握的。虽然文化、背景知 识并不是考试的内容，但在高年级阶段没有一定的文 化、背景知识会影响理解，这一阶段教学的重点是提 高理解和运用语言的能力，因此，学生的注意力应该 从语音。语法、句法转移到对通篇文章的正确理解， 以及对语言的正确使用。课程的基本要求与考核目标 词
5、汇 认知词汇1万，熟练掌握其中4,000个词及其最常 用的搭配和短语，并能在 口语和写作中正确使用 这些词汇。 阅读 能借助辞典和其他工具书基本读懂英语报刊和非 专业性的英语书籍，能看出文章的思想观点和论 点，并能对文章进行简单地分析和评论。 写作 能用英语回答课文问题，解释课文的难句， 在半小时之内写出150200字的有关课文的 短文。 翻译 能在半小时之内将与课文难度相近的150 200字的英语短文译成汉语，或将两百字左 右的汉语短文译成英语。 1. 考试标准 本课程考试参照全日制普通高校同专业、 同层次、同课程的本科结业水平，并体现 自学考试以培养应用型人才为主要目标的 特点。在题量上能
6、够使中等水平的考生在 规定的考试时间内完成全部试题的作答， 并有适当的时间检查作答情况。2. 考试依据和范围 本课程考试以全国高等教育自学考试指导 委员会1999年9月颁布的高级英语自学考 试大纲为依据；以高级英语（上） （下）教材（王家湘、张中载主编，外语 教学与研究出版社，2000年1月第1版）为 考试范围。 3. 考试内容 本课程考试内容覆盖到教材各篇课文。考试形式与考试题型 1. 考试形式 本课程考试采用闭卷笔试形式，考试时间 150分钟，满分为100分，及格分数为60分。 2. 考试题型 本课程考试采用的题型见样题。 1选择题（短文、句子） 考核学生对短文的综合理解程度。考生根 据短
