2、合会的成立标志着家长和教师对中文学校管理和发展的正式参与，给中文学校的生活带来了一股清新的气息和活力。对此，我谨向发起这个联合会的杨美兰，高红，李长红以及各位参加这个联合会的家长和教师们表示衷心的感谢和热烈的祝贺。 家长-教师联合会如同一股温暖的春风，吹绿了许多新苗。在这个联合会下，成立了若干个小组，并迅速开展活动，商讨改进学校管理，教学，以及活动方面的各种建议和设想。正所谓“众人拾柴火焰高”， 在联合会成立 不到两个月的时间里，我们 盼望十来年的首份中文学校的刊物“印城华夏文化中心快讯”就正式诞生了。 如果说家长-教师联合会是连接学校，教师和家长的一座桥梁，那么我们的“印城华夏文化中心中文学

6、nds on May 15, 2005. The tuition fee is $110 plus $8 for books during pre-registration period. After May 15, the tuition is $130+ $8. $25.00 deposit is required for hallway and classroom duty during registration in a separate check. It will be reimbursed after the family has finished the duty. 7、c ICCCI Chinese School will have its annual picnic on May 22, 2005. It will be held at Roy G. Holland Memorial Park, located north of 116th Street on Holland Drive in Fishers. The event is free to all families who have children at the Chinese School. Lunch will begin at 11:00 am. Drinks and some foo
8、d will be provided by ICCCI Chinese School. Each family please brings a dish to share with an amount sufficient for your family. Indy Chinese Culture & Heritage Summer Camp To promote awareness of the Chinese culture and heritage to children, ICCCI and FCC (Families with Children from China) will co
9、nduct a week long summer camp from July 25- July 29 2005. Fee is $110. For details send email to Elaine at to_. Start date for next Semester - August 22. 2005. Waiting confirmation from Carmel High school. PTO 专版专版 (Issues & Actions) - Security Committee $25 deposit per family Each family will be as
10、ked to deposit $25 into the school security fund for the hallway/classroom duty at registration. Each family will be reimbursed for this amount after it has performed its duty. Although only one performance per year is required for each family, we encourage the parents to perform the duty more times
11、. Hallway and Classroom duty Besides helping in the hallway, the parents on duty also need to make sure the classrooms are clean and tidy. Pre-registration Form During pre-registration, the committee will set up a booth to verify the information on the Consent Form. Parent sign in/out form From now
12、on, parents are required to sign an in/out form for the childrens arrival and dismissal. Without the form signed, the student will not be released from the Chinese school premises. Communication Send an e-mail to encourage parents to remind their kids of appropriate behavior in classrooms and hallwa
13、ys. Determine the number of classes and levels of student grades. Set standards for assignment and class requirement. All teachers are required to submit their teaching outlines for the semester. Interview and recruit new teachers and substitute tutors. Student Evaluation Teachers are required to pr
14、ovide evaluation for each student. Teachers will present gifts to all students who have done well in their class. The major task for this committee is to publish a newsletter ( 3 times per semester) reporting the school and PTO activities. The first issue is due by the end of April of 2005. There wa
15、s no consensus on what language to use for the newsletter. Some prefer Chinese and others are concerned about the difficulty and slow speed of typing Chinese, Likely we will use both Chinese and English depending on the choice of the news contributors.
