This Quick Start Guide is intended to help you customize the VersaWeigh settings. For full operational procedures relate
2、d to the checkweigher, refer to your User Guide (REC 4280). HINT: The machine parameters are setup in the Configurator software and should be setup from the factory. RUN SCREEN The Run screen displays when the machine is first started. Most operator tasks can be accomplished from the screens accessi
3、ble from tabs at the top of this screen. NEW PRODUCT SETUP All product setup and other product management activities are accessible from the Select Product tab in Run screen.HINT: Any actions taken in the Product Select tab applies to the product identified on the screen under the heading “Selected
4、Product”. To select a different product, use the Browse button.1.Select New Product The keypad pops up, enter a meaningful product description (up to 25 characters). The system automatically assigns an available product number to the product.2.Select Edit Product to edit the product details.Paramete
5、rs Tab Enter the required information:Reference Weight (gross weight) is combined weight of the product and packaging.Tare Weight is the weight of empty packaging and is optional but if not used the system only works with gross weights.Package Length is the length of the package from end to end as i
6、t would go across the weightable.HINT: If there is a chance the package will move across the weightable at an angle, measure the package diagonally and use this measurement as the package length. Package Rate must be entered so the system can automatically calculate the appropriate belt speed. If th
7、e package rate is not entered the belt speed must be calculated and entered manually in the Speeds tab.Cut Points are the thresholds used to delineate the zones. If the machine is a 3 zone machine there are 2 cut points. If the 5 zone option is installed there are 4 cut points. HINT: There are defau
8、lt cut points set in the machine (5g and 10g). 9、roduct must be calibrated. 1.Turn on the conveyor belt 2.Select Calibrate Product and follow the on screen prompts. 3.Pass 8 packages through the system when the machine indicates. The counter at the bottom of the screen counts down packages from 8. 4.The prompt reads “Complete” 5.The calibrated pro
10、duct is not the running product. HINT: Once the product has been calibrated the parameters are stored in the machine and typically it will not have to be calibrated routinely unless there is a change in certain parameters such as belt speed, package size, or customer procedures require a calibration
11、.MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION This section discusses menu information and setup that is not accessible to anyone with operator access. To accomplish the changes the user must be logged in with Factory level access (refer to Appendix A in REC 4280 for information on Access.) Changing Units Use the follo
12、wing steps to change the operating units on the software (user must be signed in with System Administrator level access.)Units are changed in the Configurator software of the machine. 1.Select Menu/Options/Configurator/Machine. The following screen displays.2.Select Weight Units to change the units
13、of weigh the machine uses during operation (choices g, kg, oz, lb). 3.Select Length Units to change the units of length the machine uses during operation (choices mm, in). 4.Select Speed Units to change the units of speed the machine uses during operation (choices m/sec, m/min, FPM). 5.Select Exit 6.Save the changes.
