1、As a emigrant country, the importance of culture of America is inclusiveness. A large number of immigrants from Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America have been moving into their ideal country-America with their dreams. They bring their own traditions and customs and regional conventions into the U.
2、S which is the foundation of the variety of American culture. This kind of combination and development of diversification of culture bring about the inclusiveness of American culture. It is funny that if America had their own culture, they wouldnt be now. And they wouldnt have developed the eye-attr
3、active new culture. Thanks for that, we can find our own culture in America.By describing the story, “MuLan” vividly, which is about a girl replaced her father to join the army, this movie represent the inclusiveness of American culture. To some extent, the procedure of retelling of MuLan by Disney
4、Animation is the same one in representing its inclusiveness. Firstly, for selecting material, the Disney Animation adopted the old story of Chinese folk, which means the identification of Chinese traditional culture. China is such a country that having a long history in its culture. During the proce
5、dure of rewriting this movie, Disney injected its own culture while using Chinese culture for reference. In other words, the animation has its historic figures and theme and at the same time, it has its own features. This animation represents a traditional Chinese girl, black eyes and hair, yellow s
6、kins. MuLan has long been oppressed by feudality that time and appointed to marry somebody because of arranged marriage. At that time, because of the old age, her father could not go to the army, as a result, MuLan replaced her father into the army, cut off her long hair and wore the tough armor, fi
7、ghting for her country. Because she was so brave and done a good job in the battle, MuLan re3sucue the country and its people. As a heroin, she was welcomed by people and the empire, and went back to her hometown with fame. This is the representation which Disney wants to show to people, that is get
8、 away from the greedy. Besides, HuaHu, the father of MuLan, is a real man. He took his responsibility when his country facing the difficulties despite his old age. This also represents the courage of a man.This movie still indicates a lot of things related to the Chinese traditions. For example, in
9、the beginning, the movie describes the films written by Chinese brush, which shows the name shoed by red words. And then the shot moves from distance to the face-the Great Wall was represented in front of us. As soon as the rioting of Xiong nations, there was a scene about the soldiers lighting the
10、torch to send the message. Afterwards, there were many scenes about the daily life of the citizens in the city which was filled with the Chinese elements, such as snacks, circus, the people who tend to kill time playing the chess, fightings between the competitors in the stage, red walls, and the lu
11、cky red lantern. Above all, these are all the representation of the real life in that time of Chinese daily life.Moreover, there are many descriptions about details, such as the carpet on the wall, the architecture style of palace, the empires clothes, quadrangle, and the family temple, the tomb of
12、ancestors, pedestal and lucky cricket when suffered difficulties and seeking to the protection from the ancestors. These all are the features of Chinese traditional culture.Due to the invasion of western culture and sense of worth, maybe there are some new valuable features and figures. However, adding its own features and cultures to the traditions is such a way to indicate the absorbing and inclusiveness of America.
