5、2013 i ABSTRACT Sue Monk Kidd is a famous American female writer. The novel The Secret Life of Bees taught by Britain and American high school and college classroom wins various international awards and nominations for her. Kidd is a moderate ecofeminism writer whose first book The Secret Life of Be
6、es is a classic ecofeminism novel about the theme of growing-up. She criticizes the alienation of man and woman relationship dominated by patriarchal culture, seeking for the factors that promote harmony and caring between the two sexes in marriage and family. At the same time, she highlights the he
7、aling and nourishing effect of nature, as well as striving for constructing a real harmonious society between human and nature, human and human. The Secret Life of Bees tells a story of growing up, which a fourteen-year-old girl who looks for regression self from natural spirituality. Lily experienc
8、es a series of things during her growing up. But she finally heals herself in the bee yard and achieves important metamorphosis and rebirth of her life with the caring of Calendar sisters, finding her spiritual mother and lost self. Although there are many scholars home and broad studying the novel,
9、 few scholars deeply discuss the ecofeminist thought embodied in the novel. Therefore, this thesis attempts to interpret this touching novel from the perspective of Ecofeminism. Focusing on the exploration of a white girl in 1960s, this thesis aims to show: on the one hand, the intimate relationship
10、 between women and naturethey are inter-relievable and interdependence, on the other hand, revealing ii the domination and oppression of man to women and nature in patriarchal culture. However, the core of ecofeminist criticism is exploring the root of the dual domination of women and naturethe crit
11、ique of patriarchal culture, and striving for reconstructing a harmonious society. It will be studied from the following four chapters. Chapter I introduces the author Kidd and her novel The Secret Life of bees as well as ecofeminism theory. Chapter II discusses the inharmonious relationship between
12、 men and women, men and nature. Chapter III illustrates a harmonious reconstructed by Kidd between human and society, human and nature. This shows Kidds ecofeminism thought. 13、n and nature; men and women; women and nature; harmony iii 摘摘 要要 苏蒙克基德是美国著名女作家。她的小说蜜蜂的秘密生活为她赢得了各种国际奖项和提名，并在英美大中学课堂被作为教材广泛使用。基德是一位温和的生态女性主义作家，其第一部小说蜜蜂的秘密生活是一部以成长为主题的生态女性主义经典小说。 她积极寻找能够促进婚姻家庭中两性和睦关爱的各种因素，批判在父权制文化的影响下两性关系的异化，她还着重强调自然对人类的疗伤和滋养作用，努力构建一种人与自然，人与人能达到真正和谐的社会。 蜜蜂的秘密生活叙述的是一个十四岁女孩儿莉莉从自然的灵性中寻找回归
14、的自我的成长故事。在莉莉的成长成熟过程中，她经历了一系列的事情。但是她终于在蜂场这个自然的寓所中愈合了自己的伤口， 并在月份姐妹的关爱下完成了生命中最重要的蜕变和重生，找到了精神之母，寻回了迷失的自我。国内外学者从多种角度对此书进行研究， 但是很少有学者深入探讨小说中体现出的生态女性主义思想。 因此，本论文试图从生态女性主义理论视角解读这部感人的小说，通过处于十九世纪六十年代的一位白人少女的成长变化的描写说明了：一方面，女性与自然的亲密关系，他们相互慰藉又相互依赖；同时揭露了在父权制文化下男权社会对女性和自然的统治与压迫。 然而对女性和自然实行双重统治的根源探究对父权制文化的批判， 以及对努力
