His father thought that they should be obtained the European culture and life, so his father took him to the Europe when he was a baby. Then in 1855 Henry and the others children went back to the Europe and obtained education

In 1858, he returned to America, in 1862, he entered the Harvard Law School, after 1866, he traveled between Europe and America, and he never married, in 1915, he became a British citizen, in 1916, he died. Henry James traveled between Europe and America has provided a v
7、aluable material. In his novels, the heroine also like him shuttling between the two continents. About the novel: Isabel Archer was taken to England by her aunt. Despite being an orphan, only gain a small heritage, but she has refused two marriages that seemed very nice in others eyes. Soon she has
