Im词义辨析： Idea，Concept，Notion 观念。 idea 在柯林斯词典中，有两个义项对它的解释，比较清晰：1.An idea is a plan, suggestion, or possible course of action.，2.An idea is an opinion or belief about what something is like or should be like.。这样看来，其内涵是 1.“计划、 建议、某种行为可能的做法”，和 2.“对某件事情象什么活着应该象什么的一种 意见或想法”。总的来说，它是
6、“大脑中产生的、或者经历的思想、念头、主意”。 如：Its a good idea to plan ahead. 提前做计划是个好主意。I really like the idea of helping people. 我非常赞同帮助他人的提议。Some of his ideas about democracy are entirely his own.他关于民主的一些 观点完全是他自己的创见。 concept 一般认为是 idea 的最后结果，是概括或者高度抽象之后的 idea。 柯林斯词典中这样解释了：A concept is an idea or abstract principle.，

8、dea 和 belief 来解释它。但是牛津词典上有两个义项值得注意，其一说 notion 是idea or belief that is odd, vague or possibly incorrect （奇怪的、模糊的或可能 不正确的）观念，想法，信念。在这个意义上，notion 的确是一种“未完全的、 不彻底的、不清楚的、没有彻底形成的思想或者想法”如： I had a notion that she originally came from Poland. 我有个想法认为她的原 籍是波兰。 Your head is full of silly notions. 你满脑子都是糊涂思想。
