1、We Think VerticallyWe always naturally use vertical thinking to handle problems. Easy and handy, without much nerve-cracking effort to acquire, vertical thinking is extensively practiced in all aspects.With its convenience,vertical thinking is applicable in small things in our daily life. Supposing
2、one evening youre going to visit a friend and paused at the front door because its closed. For a normal person, you will directly knock on the door without much thinking. This is actually how we think vertically. We encounter a problem, then we solve it exactly as what we have in mind. I believe not
3、 a single person would stop and begin dwelling on another solution to such a small act. We think vertically as an instinct and it usually works well for daily petty.Vertical thinking, however, also plays an important role in areas such as math and engineering. Those fields, rigorously demanded of ac
4、curacy, always base conclusions on facts instead of hypotheses. On no account shall ambiguity be allowed. Euclid derived the whole geometry system step by step from the first five axioms, which is fundamental to the geometry world today. It would be a disaster to mathematicians if someone suddenly f

8、 the coming of good luck.The origin of lighting fireworks and crackers during this time comes from an ancient tradition that people holding a lighted bamboo to drive away ghosts or bad luck.Chinese family get together for meals，especially on the New Years Eve.People come out to streets to see elaborate lanterns on the night of Lantern Festival,the last day of Spring Festival.One important show of this day is Dragon Dance.Paper,silk and bamboo are used to create a dragon.Performers dance along the parade，holding the dragon high above their heads.
