English version of the announcement.The Center for Advanced Studies, Research and Development in Sardinia (Centro di Ricerca, Sviluppo e Studi Superiori in Sardegna, CRS4) is an interdisciplinary research center developing advanced simulation techniques and applyin
2、g them, by means of High Performance Computing (HPC), to the solution of large scale computational problems, as well as, developing innovative applications in the field of the Information and Communications Technology. The department of Infrastructure and Services of Computation and Networks (Infras
3、trutture e Servizi di Calcolo e Reti, ISCR) maintains all CRS4 users systems, several computational clusters, storage clusters and high-speed networks in support of the research and development activities of CRS4. Responsabilities: The network administrator will work within a team that provides serv
4、ices for the administration, maintenance and improvement of the hardware and software associated with the network facilities. The work required in this position includes the deployment, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of active network gear: switches, routers, firewalls, etc. Activities su
5、ch as network address assignment, assignment of routing protocols and routing table configuration as well as configuration of authentication, authorization and directory services.Requirements: Knowledge of maintenance of network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of pers
6、onal computers as well as printers. Knowledge of maintenance of certain network servers: file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, etc. Knowledge of network design and security (LAN, MAN, WAN). Knowledge of troubleshooting and problem solving, must be able to quickly and correctly dia
7、gnose problem and know how best to fix it and communicate the solution to either co- workers or end-users effectively. Knowledge of network management systems Knowledge of network and communication hardware and software Must have a strong grasp of network security, appliances, infrastructure, and co
8、ncepts. Knowledge of methods for detecting and preventing intrusion and other security problems Knowledge of current security attacks and techniques to prepare for such attacks; recommend new techniques and methods of defense. Maintains records and prepares periodic and special reports of work perfo
9、rmed. Server maintenance and troubleshooting, including software security patches, operating system updates, performance tuning, log analysis, maintaining application updates and bug fixes. University degree of laurea, laurea breve or least 5 years of professional experience. Preferred qualification
10、s: A demonstrated ability to quickly absorb and integrate new information and learn new skills is strongly preferred. Knowledge of WDM technologies Knowledge of system administration.Location: Pula, province of Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy.
