12、resonse to the need for rich roblem solving tasks that satisfy higher levels of cognitive demand We took cues from the National Mathematics Advisory anels Final Reort (2008) in recognizing the mutually reinforcing benefits of concetual understanding, rocedural fluency, and automatic (ie, quick and e

13、ffortless) recall of facts( v) The Modules contain a variety of well-selected items (offering a triad of concetual, rocedural, real world and mathematical roblem solving) Students exerience a steady diet of these tyes of roblems throughout each of the Modules In an effort to rovide the District with

14、 mathematical content that is narrow, focused and dee, each Module is centered on the Critical Areas secified by the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSM) and the riority Areas denoted within the artnershi for Assessments of Readiness for College and Careers (ARCC) Framework 7th Grade
