5、proves several pieces of evidence. Firstly, the author points out that Helios has a lower unemployment rate than average. In addition, the author reasons that it is an industrial center. Whats more, the author also assumes that Helios is also seeking companies in order to expand its economic base. A
6、s we glance over the argument, the authors argument is somewhat convincing, but further reflection reveals that it omits something important that should be addressed to solidify this conclusion. Therefore, the reasoning in this argument is problematic in several respects.First of all, the author cla
7、ims it has a low unemployment rate in Helios which means it is difficult to find enough labors for those new fledgeless corporations. Even though they find enough labors, new companies may not afford the high cost of labors because of the less available work force. In other words, low unemployment r
8、ate will increase the cost and decrease the profits of the company.Moreover, the author shows that the city of Helios is the industrial center of the region which will be helpless to the development of companies in new areas. Helios is seeking for corporations that focus on research and technologies
9、, but it has no foundation in those areas. As we all know, it is hard for a company to establish under such a background. For example, almost all the labors there are good at industrial technology because it is the industrial center of the region. What if new companies come into thiscity, how could
10、they find proper work force to work for them even if the unemployment rate is low.Last but not the least, another problem with this argument is that it suffers from a false analogy between the past and future. In order to reach the conclusion, the author must assume that all the situations are entir
11、ely the same. In other words, all other factors in the past should stay stable. However, this cannot be guaranteed. It is equally possible that some of the key factors have already changed or will change in the future. Although the city has provided lots of jobs in history, it will not offer so many
