And the most important ,she was still a virgin. Her name was Phyche People thought she a new Goddess of Love. As a
2、 result, nobody took the trouble to visit Aphrodites shrines. Her festivals were neglected, and her rites discontinued. That made Aphrodite very angry. She wanted to punish the princess. Aphrodite at once called her winged son Eros to ruin that beautiful girl. But when Eros saw the girl ,he was so a
3、ttracted by her beauty and fell hopelessly in love with her. Soon, he get married with Phyche in a wonderful palace .For the difference between god and human beings, Phyche cant saw her husband. So, towards midnight, her husband appeared and slept with her. But he left her just before daybreak.Then
4、her evil-minded sister became jealous to see Psyche live a happy life and had a good husband. They decided to ruin her life.They told Phyche that her husband was a evil person.Phyche, out of curiosity,detemined to follow her sisters instructions. She went back to her room, and when Eros was in his s
5、ound sleep , she raised the lamp. A drop of hot oil was falling on Eross shoulder. He waked up at once. Eros was very angry and left her. Psyche was very sad and regretful. She started to look for Eros.When Aphrodite knew that, she was more furious and looked for Psyche to punish her. But she preten
6、ded that she would never hurt Psyche for her son. Several days later, she found her and caught her. Aphrodite asked her to do many difficult tasks. But Psyche finished them .Until the last one , Aphrodite ask her to get a box which full of beauty.Psyche could not refuse her mother-in-law. With other
7、s help, she got the box and had been told not to open it.Without following the warning, She opened the box but it contained no beauty nor anything else, but a truly Stygian sleep which seized her. She fell asleep and lay there like a corpse with the open box beside her. Because of the love, Eros fin
8、ally went to look for Psyche and saved her without letting her know it. He went to the heaven and asked Zeus for permission. The gods was affected by her love with Eros, Zeus help Psyche become an immortal and persuaded Aphrodite.After that, they held a wedding and invited many gods and goddesses. And they had a daughter, named Pleasure.
