Its performance is not only having great influence to the contactor and directly relating to the whole electric equipment or system reliability, but also the key to the longevity of ele

3、ctrical contact. So the study of existing contactor material properties has directive function for the material selection and the development of new materials. Firstly, the development of contact materials at home and abroad was summarized in this paper. Classification and characteristics of the ele

4、ctricity contactors contact material was comprehended. The significance of this topic was put forward. Secondly, the experimental design method was determined. Three kinds of ac contactors contact materials were selected to experiment. The physical properties, mechanical properties and electrical pr

5、operties of the three contacts were tested. The electrical properties were the main research. The contact point of contact material test instrument was used for e-test of contact. Data of electrical arc burning energy, electrical arc burning time, contact resistance, closed resistance, puddle weldin

6、g force and bounce number were gotten when the contacts are working. The curves of the data and test number were drawn. The key research for contact life influence is burning arc energy and bounce times. Finally, contact material defects were found according to the test data and the improvement measures were put forward.
