2、考试是教育部设立的一项教学水平考试，17 年来为我国大学英语教学质量的提高做出了巨大的贡献。但随着情况变化以及大学英语教学改革的需要，须对四、六级考试进行改革。吴启迪指出，教育部提出改革的总体思路主要包括三个方面：一是按照大学英语课程教学要求修订考试大纲，开发新题型，改革考试内容和考试形式，突出加强对学生英语综合应用能力特别是听说能力的测试；二是全面改革分数报道方式，由原来的 100 分制改为 710 分的记分体制，不设及格线，不颁发合格证书，只发放成绩单，与此同时，逐步将考生范围限制在校内，降低考试的社会权重，突出考试为教学服务的功能；三是改革考试管理体制，进一步加强考务管理。吴部长还强调，
