1、JOHN KEATS Ode to a NightingaleOde to a Nightingale expresses the contrast between the happy world of natural loveliness and human world of agony. At first, opiates and wine seem to be a way to transcend the human misery. At last poetry itself is seen the most effective way to release misery and to
2、reach paradise. The title of F. Scott Fitzgeralds novel Tender is the Night derives itself from this poem (Stanza IV).Stanza I-I was falling asleep when I heard a nightingale singing in the beechen (山毛榉) forest. 朦胧坠入忘忧河MY heart aches, and a drowsy numbness painsMy sense, as though of hemlock I had d
