1、提高英语阅读能力的三个途径 201104一、分析文章的结构规律一般来说,我们阅读文章的目的是为了获取信息。文章体裁不同,其结构特点就会各异。因此,我们获取信息的最有效方法之一就是去学习和了解文章的结构,以便更加准确、快速地定位我们要找的信息。阅读理解文章的体裁主要有三类:叙述文、说明文和议论文。1、叙述文叙述文一般以讲述个人生活经历为主,对于经历的陈述通常由一定的时间概念贯穿其中,或顺序或倒序。但是考试中一般不出现单纯的叙述文,因为单纯的叙述文比较简单、易懂。所以考试中的叙述文大多是夹叙夹议的文章。这类文章的基本结构模式是:1) 用一段概括性的话引入要叙述的经历( 话题)2) 叙述先前的经历(

2、举例 1)及其感悟或发现3) 叙述接下来的经历(举例 2)及其感悟或发现4) 做出总结或结论请看下面一篇文章Engineering students are supposed to be examples of practicality and rationality, but when it comes to my college education I am an idealist and a fool. In high school I wanted to be an electrical engineer and, of course, any sensible student wit

4、 this was not a practical choice; I came here for more noble reasons. I wanted a broad education that would provide me with flexibility and a value system to guide me in my career. I wanted to open my eyes and expand my vision by interacting with people who werent studying science or engineering. My

5、 parents, teachers and other adults praised me for such a sensible choice. They told me I was wise and mature beyond my 18 years, and I believed them.I headed off to college sure I was going to have an advantage over those students who went to big engineering “factories” where they didnt care if you

6、 had values or were flexible. I was going to be a complete engineer: technical genius and sensitive humanist(人文学者) all in one.Now Im not so sure. Somewhere along the way my noble ideals crashed into reality, as all noble ideals eventually do. After three years of struggling to balance maths, physics

7、 and engineering courses with liberal-arts courses, I have learned there are reasons why few engineering students try to reconcile (协调) engineering with liberal-arts courses in college.The reality that has blocked my path to becoming the typical successful student is that engineering and the liberal

8、 arts simply dont mix as easily as I assumed in high school. Individually they shape a person in very different ways; together they threaten to confuse.
