Background美国青少年的早恋、早孕爱丽娅是我所教的英语中级班的一位高中三年级女学生。有一天课间休息时，我看到她在与同学传看一本相册，就好奇地凑了过去。当翻看到她和一个两三岁的男孩的合影时，我就随便问了一句：“ 他是你的侄子吗？”“不，他是我的儿子。”她自豪地回答到。爱丽娅今年 16 岁，儿子已经 3 岁，她早在十三四岁时就怀孕了。孩子现在由爱丽娅的母亲照顾，而其父亲却已不知去向。当问起她当妈妈的感受时，她一脸的稚气，好像说不出个所以然来。我并没有责怪她，她自己毕竟还是个需要父母照顾的孩子。美国青少年的早恋和早孕是个非常普遍的现象，尤其是在高中阶段，没有交男朋友或者
2、女朋友的学生为数很少。男生早恋的成功与否还不会给他们自身生活带来太大的影响。令人同情的是那些早恋或早孕的女生，她们自己还没有脱去稚气，没有一点生活经验，甚至还不能真正理解“结婚、夫妻” 这些词的意思，却过早地背上了家庭或者抚养孩子的重担。仅我所教的两届学生当中因为怀孕而辍学的女学生就有两个，而挺着肚子坚持上学的准妈妈们也不稀罕。更可悲的是她们当中许多人怀了孕却不知道孩子是谁的，有的虽然知道孩子的父亲是谁，对方却不肯承担责任。介于 13 岁和 19 岁之间的青少年在英语中称作“teenager”，这是个让每个做父母的都感到头疼的阶段。这个时期的青少年无论在生理上还是心理上都在发生着巨大的变化，最
3、明显的就是逆反心理。来自同一文化背景的父母在管教孩子方面还比较容易达成共识，若是双方属于不同的文化，那对孩子的教育则难上加难。对于学生早恋、早孕问题，学校也在尽力想办法解决，比如，开设生理课，向学生宣传其造成的不良后果，等等。但是这些办法都不可能从根本上解决问题。对于谈恋爱怀孕校纪校规上没有明文禁止，一旦学生怀了孕学校反而从各方面给予照顾，比如，学校禁止学生在教室里吃零食喝饮料，而对怀孕的女学生就可以破例，原因是胎儿需要营养。这些做法无疑助长了早恋、早孕现象的发生。人民日报海外版 (2003 年 10 月 15 日 第三版)II.
