2、2 The One Where Ross Hugs RachelRoss hasnt gotten the annulment yet. but he has gotten a little crazy. It seems the idea of a 3rd failed marriage has pushed him over the deep end(n.深渊 困境). Phoebe (and her panel of women) decide(v.判决 裁定) Ross is still in love with Rachel. Ross is in such denial about
3、 this that to prove them wrong he goes to his lawyer (Russell) to take care of the annulment. but finds that its more complicated than expected, and Rachel will have to be told the truth. Chandler and Monica break the news(v.把坏消息委婉地告诉某人) of their live-in plans, first with Joey (who is happy for them
4、, but sad to be losing Chandler) and then to Rachel (who doesnt seem to have much of a reaction at all. until she takes it seriously). Rachel is so sad that Ross still cant tell her the truth. Phoebe foretells the future marriages of the entire group. Scene: Central Perk, its the same scene from the
5、 end of last weeks show. Phoebe and Rachel are sitting on the couch as Ross enters.Ross: Hey! Rachel: Hey, so did everything go okay with the annulment?Ross: Oh, yeah, no problems. Its all taken care of.Rachel: Ross, thank you. Hey, do you guys wanna go see a movie?Ross: Oh yeah, why not?Rachel: Oka
6、y, umm, Im gonna get my sweater. (Walks away.)sweater n.外套Ross: Okay. (Sits down next to Phoebe.) You uh, you wanna hear something weird?Phoebe: Always.Ross: I didnt get the annulment.Phoebe: What?!Ross: Were still married! Dont tell Rachel. See you later.
