1、II Abstract With the rapid development of Chinese economy and acceleration of urbanization process, the contradiction between people and land in the city is increasing, especially the housing problem of low-income people has became an urgent social problems that need to be solved. To solve this prob
2、lem, the government has proposed to extend the scope of housing security, and increase low-cost housing construction. At present our country low-rent housing construction has just started, Dwelling size design lack of systematic research, is a stage, no relevant guidelines. Low-cost housing Dwelling
3、 size in practice mostly apply commercial housing design mode, ignored the cheap, rent, small features, as well as a living object has a liquidity and diversity characteristic, led to the living space cant effectively use private space, tenants cant meet the life a lot of problem. It is designed to
4、adapt to various apartment layout life characteristics and the living requirement model, this paper analyzes the Xian has to build low-cost housing Dwelling size design merit and the insufficiency, in combination with low-rent housing characteristics is proposed to adapt to different apartment layou

This paper discussed Chinese housing situation and housing adaptability design concept, elaborated the objectives, principles, practices and reflect characteristic of housing adaptability design, and take Xian City low-cost housing Dwelling siz
6、e design as an example, analyze and coordinate Xian City low-cost housing situation, summed up the housing needs and life characteristics of low income people. Analysis the small area, complete function features of low-cost housing, research the adaptive design and put forward several methods of ada

Finally, according to the change of family structure and life style, put forward low-cost housing Dwelling size adaptive design, and analyze Chinese residential adaptability design requirements and
