3、4864AJ are deflection boostersfor use in vertical deflection systems for frame frequenciesup to 200 Hz.The TDA4864J needs a separate flyback supply voltage,so the supply voltages are independently adjustable tooptimize power consumption and flyback time.For the TDA4864AJ the flyback supply voltage w

12、the TDA4864J and TDA4864AJ consist of adifferential input stage, a vertical output stage, a flybackgenerator, a reference circuit and a thermal protectioncircuit.The TDA4864J operates with a separate flyback supplyvoltage (see Fig.1) while the TDA4864AJ generates theflyback voltage internally by dou

13、bling the supply voltage(see Fig.2).Differential input stageThe differential sawtooth input current signal (coming fromthe deflection controller) is connected to the inputs(inverted signal to pin INN and non-inverted signal topin INP). The vertical feedback signal is superimposed onthe inverted sign

14、al on pin INN.Vertical output and thermal protectionThe vertical output stage is a quasi-complementaryclass-B amplifier with a high linearity.The output stage is protected against thermal overshoots.For a junction temperature Tj 150 C this protection willbe activated and will reduce then the deflect

15、ion current(IV-OUT).Flyback generatorThe flyback generator supplies the vertical output stageduring flyback.The TDA4864J is used with separate flyback supplyvoltage to achieve a short flyback time with minimizedpower dissipation.The TDA4864AJ needs a capacitor CFbetweenpins VP3and VP2(see Fig.2). Ca

16、pacitor CFis chargedduring scan, using the external diode D1 and resistor R5.During flyback the cathode of capacitor CFis connected tothe positive supply voltage and the flyback voltage is thentwice the supply voltage. For the TDA4864AJ theresistor R6 in the positive supply line can be used toreduce the power consumption.In parallel with the deflection coil a damping resistor RPand an RC combination (RS1= 5.6 and CS1= 100 nF)a
