Begin by showing some pictures of people and animals showing their abilities. Ask students to say something about each picture. Talk more about the pictures.2. Introduce vocabula

3、ry words and explain clearly. You may act out every word or use gestures for comprehension.Examples: Can is used to show what a person or an animal is able to do such as: Mother can cook Chinese food. Father can play the guitar well.Cant - is the short form of cannot. It refers to the things a perso

4、n or animal cannot do such as: A small boy cant paint a house. A baby cant go up the stairs3. Read every word while students listen.4. Divide the class into 5 and ask each group to read the vocabulary words correctly.5. Let the class read again the words. Take note of the students pronunciation and

5、correct every mispronounced word.6. Ask students to match the word with the pictures (1a). Listen in on various pairs to be able to check the progress and help the students with their pronunciation.3. Ask the students to do activities 2a and 2b.
