1、英语，是小学教育体系中的重要组成部分。英语教学，对于小学生英语语言能力的提高有着不可替代的作用。受到多种因素的影响，总是有小学生在英语学习中表现得十分吃力，难以找到英语学习的兴趣，逐渐成为课堂中的后进生。一、小学英语教学中后进生的表现1.后进生英语学习信心不足在小学英语教学中，笔者发现许多小学生没有学习英语知识的自信心。一次挫败会让小学生自信心严重不足，或是认为英语学科知识太难，或是认为自己并不是学习英语的材料。没有自信的后进生，认为他人都比自己能力强，在英语课堂中表现得十分自卑。2.后进生英语学习动机不足小学生的自我管理能力不足，更没有规划自己人生的意识，因此，小学生在学习中普遍缺少充足的动
2、机。小学英语课堂中的后进生没有制订明确的英语学习目标，无法主动地融入小学英语课堂活动中去。没有动力，学生就没有奋斗的目标。3.后进生没有良好的学习习惯缺少正确的学习习惯，是许多后进生英语学习中的一大阻碍。他们没有学习积极性，课堂中也难以将自己的注意力集中起来，作业质量明显不高。一些小学生甚至会抄袭作业，根本不自主思考问题。4.后进生缺少有效学习方法学习方法对于小学生的英语学习来讲十分重要，据笔者观察，大多数后进生将死记硬背视为最有效的方法，但往往记忆效果不佳。学习方法不当，使其无法理解英语文章，很难发现文章中的上下文联系。二、小学英语教学中有效转化后进生的方法要在小学英语教学中转化后进生，教师
3、需要投入更多的精力，从后进生的学习需求入手改革传统的课堂教学方法。具体如下：1.利用关爱，帮助后进生建立英语学习信心在小学英语教学中转化后进生，教师应当投入更多的情感，关注后进生的实际学习需求，让学生在真诚的关爱中建立英语学习的信心。后进生，是需要教师关注的重点对象，教师有责任引导后进生建立积极的英语学习情感，并让后进生体验到英语学习的乐趣，形成健康的英语学习观。在教育工作中倾注爱心，让后进生得到应有的关爱，是帮助其建立信心的重点。其实，后进生的自尊心更强，他们不希望他人同情，更不希望被歧视。教师要以诚相待，通过自己的态度帮助后进生消除自卑心理，逐渐拾起英语学习的信心。在日常教学活动中，教师要
4、给予后进生期待，不能放弃他们。无论课上，还是课下，教师都要增进与后进生交流，激发他们内在的学习热情，促进后进生主动学习英语知识。2.培养兴趣，帮助后进生养成良好的学习习惯具有兴趣，养成良好的英语学习习惯，对于后进生转化工作来说十分重要。在小学英语教学中，教师要从小学生身心发展特点出发去激发其兴趣，使其爱上英语学习。游戏活动、音乐元素的融入等方法，都会让小学生具有全新的英语学习体验，感受到英语学习的轻松与愉快，让后进生找到自己参与英语学习活动中的动力，他们才能在课堂中变得活泼开朗起来。比如在讲解 My home 时，教师可以让每一位学生都画一张有关自己家的图。教师将学生的图收起来并编上号，张贴在
5、教师的墙上。随意点一名学生用英语去描述自己家，其他学生找对应的作品，看谁先猜对。这样的游戏能够提高课堂的趣味性，有利于后进生积极参与，对后进生转化有积极的作用。3.接受差异，帮助后进生找到个性化学习目标小学生之间的差异是现实存在的，一名合格的小学英语教师要承认并接受学生的差异。后进生之所以后进，原因多种多样，可能是父母没有时间辅导，也可能是学生反应慢跟不上课堂节奏。在后进生的转化过程中，教师要重视学生之间的个性差异，在课堂中利用层次化的教学内容引导学生学习。比如在讲解 How much is it？时，教师可以将一些简单问题的回答权交给后进生，而不是只关注优秀学生在课堂中的参与。课堂问题要讲究
