Many young mice wanted to be her husband. Narrator 1: One day, Tom invited all the young mice to a party, so he
2、could choose his son-in-law. (At the party, everyone dances. Then the music stops. Tom stands up.) Tom: Good evening! Welcome all of you. This is my wife, Lisa, and my daughter, Helen. (Lisa and Helen come forward.) Lisa and Helen: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Tom: Gentlemen, I know you all w
3、ant to be Helens husband. Now, please introduce yourselves to us. Lisa: Then, Helen will choose the most suitable mouse to be her husband. Mike: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Mike. I am the richest mouse in the world. (Tom speaks to Mike.) Tom: What can you give my daughter? Mike: I
4、f Helen marries me, she will have a Mercedes Benz and lots of jewelry. (Tom talks to Lisa.) Tom: Sounds good. If Helen marries him, she will never need to worry about money. Lisa: Youre right. 8、! Then we will have the most beautiful children.) (Carl comes forward.) Carl: Good evening! You can call me Carl. I am the most powerful mouse in the world. Tom: What can you give my daughter? Carl: Well, if Helen marries me, she will be the queen, and that means you will be the queens father. (Tom
9、talks to Lisa.) Tom: Wow! A queens father! A queens mother! Wed like that. Lisa: This is great! Helen, lets choose him! (Helen imagines she is a queen.) Helen: Queen? Everybody will follow my commands. Cool! (Alan comes forward.) Alan: Good evening! My name is Alan. I am the bravest mouse in the wor
10、ld. Tom: What can you give my daughter? Alan: HmmmIf Helen marries me, she will have the chance to have adventures with me around the world. (Tom talks to Lisa.) Tom: Sounds exciting! Our daughter will have the chance to explore the world. Lisa: Ohno! Maybe we wont see Helen again. Will you leave ue

13、ys be safe. ( Tom and Lisa speak to Jackson.) Tom and Lisa: Digging holes! What a poor way to live! (Helen talks to herself.) Helen: A hole diggers wife! A lot of places to hade!
