1、用心 爱心 专心 1山东省临沭县第三初级中学八年级英语上册unit9教案 人教新目标版教学目标:(一) 知识目标1. 掌握本单元有关人物介绍的词语和句型。Learn to use “be born” to ask sb sth2. 掌握一般过去时态的以 how long,when, where 等疑问词开头的特殊疑问句.(二) 能力目标能用有关的形容词来描述人,并能用一般过去时来谈论熟知的、敬佩的人物。(三) 情感目标通过介绍著名的人物来向伟人学习,树立远大理想,并为之奋斗。教学重点:1. 词汇:born, record, hiccup, sneeze, national, achieveme

2、nt, perform, gymnast, medal, become, call, grandson, violinist, skate, tour, pianist, could, number university, tooto, take part in, major in, because of.Adj: talented, loving, creative, outstanding, kind, unusual, well-known, alive,2.句型:1. When was he born?2. How did he hiccup?3. You are never too

4、4Period 3 SectionB 1a-2cPeriod 4 SectionB 3a-Self-check教学过程:Period One Step1 Warming up Write the word born on the blackboard and tell students we are going to talk about when some students were born. Lets find out when some of you born. When is your birthday? April the first. When were you born? In

5、 1990. Then ask students to think of some famous sports stars, or athletes, and write their names under International Sports Stars. Step2 Listening Get the students listen carefully and write the date under each person was born. Play the recording twice and get the students to listen and write down

6、the answers to each picture. Martin Hingis: 1980 Michael Jordan : 1963 David Beckham: 1975 Step3 Pair work Point out the conversation in the box in activity 1c. ask two students to read it to the class. Ask the students work with a partner. Make your own conversations about the people in the picture

7、. Then ask several pairs to say their conversations to the class. (1c) First ask a pair of students to read the example conversation ,the other students repeat. Then ask the students to work in pairs.(First one person asks a question and then the other person takes a turn.) Demonstrate the activity.

8、 T: Who is that? S: That is Deng Yaping. She is a great Chinese ping-pong player. T: When was she born? S: She was born in 1973 Ask the students to work in pairs. Then ask some pairs to act it out .Step4 2A and 2B Listening (2a)Get the students look at the picture and teach them the words hiccup and

9、 sneeze. And point out the columns in the chart and read the column headings to the class. Then explain the meaning of the words at the top of each column. 10、dents repeat the sentences one by one. Step5. (2c) Demonstrate the activity. T: How long did Charles Smith hiccup? S1: He hiccupped for 69 years and ? months. T: When did he start hiccupping S2: He started in - T: When did he stop hiccupping? S3: He stopped in- Then ask the students to work in pairs

11、. Homework: 1. Make sentences with the words on page 53 2. Make conversations with sentences: Who is that? When was she born? 教学反思:本节课最难的语法点“stop doing”和“start doing”。如果简单地告诉学生这两个词的用法,学生听过即忘,效果肯定不佳。我例举大量的其他的吉尼斯纪录,让学生顺理成章地谈论“stop doing”和“start doing”。学生根据我给的时间,主动拿出笔积极算起来,劲头很足,完全理解这两个词组的意思。然后让学生听 2a 的
