2、est coast, so choose carefully the places to see and the time to go.3. 能够读懂课文,了解去美国旅游的最佳时间。4. 能够为参观自己家乡的游客提出建议,并写明原因。二、教学重点及难点重点:掌握表示天气的词汇的用法。难点:掌握表示天气和可能性的句型。三、教学准备1. 多媒体设备和课件;2. 设计课后巩固练习;3. 教学图片。四、教学过程Step 1 Warming-up1. T shows a map of China and asks Ss to say the location of several cities.2. T

3、 leads Ss to learn the places of the US. 【设计意图】教师展示中国地图,并让学生找出沈阳、昆明、乌鲁木齐和福州四个城市在地图上的位置,帮助学生学习英语中的方位名词;通过展示美国地图,让学生了解本课即将学习的美国的几个代表城市的地理位置。Step 2 Pre-reading1. T and Ss learn the new words together. 【设计意图】通过一一呈现新单词,让学生朗读,帮助学生掌握本课的新单词,为后面的学习打好基础。2. T shows two pictures and asks Ss to talk about what t

4、hey can see in the pictures.【设计意图】通过看图片,让学生从不同角度观察图片,两人一组谈论图片内容,为阅读做好语言上的准备。Step 3 While-reading1. T asks Ss to read the passage quickly and answer some questions.2. T asks Ss to read Paragraph 1 and answer two questions.3. T guides students to discuss the best time to visit the United States accord

5、ing to what they know to try or experience.4. Teacher asked the students to do group work and read the text to see if their guesses were correct.【设计意图】通过引导学生阅读课文,在逐步理解的过程中,总结出去美国不同地区游览的最佳时间。5. T asks the class to read Paragraph 6 and answer the question. 【设计意图】 本活动为细节理解题,侧重考查学生对课文细节的理解及提取主要信息的能力。教师可以让学生通过定位关键词的方式快速完成表格。Step 4 Post-reading1. Learn the language points.(1) New York and Washing D.C. are good places t

7、o visit in May or October,but in winter there is a lot of snow.In Seattle, in the northwest, it is not very cold but it rains a lot, so bring an umbrella.上面两个句子中的a lot of 与a lot意思相近,但用法不同。a lot of/ lots of后面接名词,而a lot跟在动词后起修饰作用,在句中作状语。(2) There are storms from time to time in summer and autumn.From

8、time to time是常用短语,表示“偶尔,有时”。2. T asks Ss to complete the sentences with the correct form of the words in the box.【设计意图】通过与课文相关的词汇练习,要求学生在理解单词和句意的基础上选词填空,旨在考查学生对所学单词的掌握情况。3.
