Look at the pictures a

4、nd talk about the following questions.(1) What are they made of?(2) Can you guess where they are made?2. Think and have discussions.Do you think its difficult to choose a gift for your cousin? Why or why not?【设计意图】通过讨论的方式,引导学生围绕产品的制作原料及制作地进行讨论,激发学生的学习动机和学习兴趣。Step 3 While-readingWork on 3a&3b1. Liste

No matter what you may buy, you might think those products were made in those countries.无论你买什么, 你也许会认为那些产品一定就是那些国家制造的。(1) no matter 意为“无论”, 常与“what, who, which, where, how”等疑问词连用,引导让步状语从句。e.g. No matter what you say, I wont beli

7、eve you. (2) product 意为“(人工的)产品”,也可指“(自然的)产物”。e.g. The countrys main products are gold and cocoa.2. He found it interesting that so many products in the local shops were made in China.他发现了一个有趣的现象,在当地的商店里,很多产品都是中国制造的。find it+形容词+that从句 意为“发现是的”,其中it是形式宾语,that引导的从句是真正的宾语,形容词作宾语补足语。e.g. He finds it str

He realized that Americans can hardly avoid buying products made in China.他意识到美国人几乎无法避免购买中国制造的产品。avoid doing sth. 意为“避免做某事”,后面常跟名词、代词或动词ing形式等作宾语,但不能跟不定式作宾语。e.g. They tried to avoid making Mrs. Li angry.4. Kang Jian thinks its great that China is so good at making

9、these everyday things. 康健认为中国擅长制造这些日常用品是很了不起的。everyday是every和day构成的合成词,作形容词,意为“每日的; 日常的”,仅用在名词前作定语,不能单独使用。every day是副词短语,意为“每天”,相当于each day,用作时间状语。e.g. She watches everyday English on TV every day.Step 5 SummaryKey words and phrases:product, France, local, avoid, handbag, mobile, everyday, no matter
