1、在六级中涉及到的重要的词根词缀不超过 50 个，并不是要求同学们一个不落地背下来，只 是在没事的时候拿出来翻一翻，即使在考试的时候碰到不认识的生词或似是而非的单词， 可以根据它含有的词根判断其大概的含义。比如 uni 表示“one，only”之意，由此可记忆 unique 为“唯一的”，unity 为“统一，一致”；而有 3 个词根表示“two，double”的含义，分别 对应 3 个词性不同的单词，ambi 对应形容词 ambiguous（摸棱两可的），du 对应动词 duplicate（复制，重复），di 对应名词 dilemma（进退两难的困境），这三个单词都曾经作 为正确答案出现过。
