2、 period of unit 18. Its a reading comprehension text. This lesson is very important for the students to learn in that it is related to our thinking strategies and it can improve the students ability of creativity and imagination. 2) Knowledge goal: Key words: patent, petrol, reject, otherwise, previ

3、ous, aware, dusty, pilot, background, etc. Key phrases: allow for, get stuck, break away from, be aware of ,etc,Part I. Analysis of the teaching material,3) ability goal: talk about inventions improve the students ability of creativity and imagination 4) Moral goal: By learning this text, the studen

4、ts can not only further understand the importance of the creativity, but also learn how to improve the ability of creation. 5) Teaching aims to improve the students reading ability, such as skimming, scanning. to arouse the students curiosity about how to become creative. by trying the thinking stra

5、tegies of inventors and scientists, the students can become better problem-solvers and learners,1). The new curriculum emphasizes the principle of “taking the students as the host and the teacher subordinate” and advocates the cooperative learning, task-based learning, communicative learning. Theref

6、ore, Ill create as many chances as possible to make my students participate in ways of “questions and answers”, “group discussion and pair work” and “search for and exchange information”. 2). If the lesson is held in the network classroom, the teacher can divides the students into several groups of

7、5 or 6 and guides the students self-study by taking advantage of the modern equipment. 3). Its commonly said that there are three kinds of learning modalities, namely visual, auditory and kinesthetic. A visual person learns through seeing, an auditory one through hearing and a kinesthetic one throug

8、h moving, doing and touching. Therefore, Ill apply multi-functional teaching equipment to cater for the different characteristics of the students learning habits,II. Analysis of the teaching methods,Interest is the best teacher. But with the heavy study burden and impact of the traditional spoon-fee

9、ding teaching, sometimes the students may lose the interest in learning and are not independent enough.
