1、专题三状语从句 知识点讲解 概念： 状语从句指句子用作状语时，起副词作用的句子。 分类 根据其作用可分为时间、地点、原因、条件、目的、结果、让步，比较，方式等从句。 （一）时间状语从句 引导词：when, as, while, whenever, after,before,till(until),since,once,as soon as( 或 the moment),by the time,no sooner than,hardly(scarcely) when,every time 。 When I came into the office,the teachers were having
2、 a meeting. He started as soon as he received the news. Once you see him,you will never forget him. No sooner had I gone to bed than I went to sleep. （二）原因状语从句 引导词： because, since, as, now that（既然）等 He is disappointed because he didnt get the position. As it is raining, I will not go out. Now that y
3、ou mention it, I do remember. （三）条件状语从句 引导词： if, unless, so(as)long as,on condition that,so(as)far as,if only(=if)。 If he is not in the office, he must be out for lunch. You may borrow the book so long as you keep it clean. So far as I know （据我所知） , he will be away for three months. You can go swimm
4、ing on condition that (=if)you dont go too far away from the river bank. If he had come a few minutes earlier, he could have seen her. 注意： 1. 条件从句中的if 不能用 whether 替换。 2. 当主句为将来时态或含有将来意义时，条件状语从句习惯上要用一般现在时表示将来意义， 而不能直接使用将来时态。如： He will not leave if it isn t fine tomorrow. （主句一般将来时，从句一般现在时） They are go
5、ing to have a picnic if it doesn t rain next week. （主句一般将来时, 从句一般现在时） （四）目的状语从句 引导词： so, so that, in order that, in case（以防，以免）等。 Speak clearly, so that they may understand you. She has bought the book in order that she could follow the TV lessons. He left early in case he should miss the train. （五）
6、结果状语从句 引导词： so that, so that, such that 等引导。 She was ill, so that she didnt attend the meeting. He was so excited that he could not say a word. She is such a good teacher that everyone admires her. 注意： so that 和 suchthat 用法归纳 1. so + adj. / adv. + that She is so young that she cant look after hersel
7、f The boy ran so fast that I couldnt catch him. 2. such+ n. + that He is such a clever boy that everybody likes him. They are such interesting novels that I want to read them once again. He has made such great progress that the teachers are pleased with him. 3. 如果 such 后的名词前面由many、much、 few、little 等
8、词修饰，则不用such 用 so。 He had so little education that he was unfit for this job. There were so many people in the street that firefighters could not get close to the building. （六）让步状语从句 引导词although,though,as,even if(though),however,whatever,whetheror,no matter who(when,what, )等引导。 Though he is a child,h

Whatever(=No matter what)you say,Ill never change my mind. 注意： as 引导的让步状语从句一般是倒装的。 Child as he is,he knows a lot. （七）方式状语从句 引导词： as,as if(though),the way,rather than You must do the exercise as I show you. He acted as if nothing had happened. （八）比较状语从句 引导词： than, so(as) as, the moreth
