1、In order to control the number of cane toads, reading passage states that three methods to control cane toads, while the lecture argue these methods and point out they are useless.Firstly, the passage hold an opinion that build a nature fence which could separate into parts and avoid cane toads inva
2、de into other areas. However the lecture holds a different opinion and consider that building a nature fence is useless. It points that cane toads lay their eggs in rivers and rivers are always flowing. So the statement in the reading is not convincing.Secondly, it is claimed in the reading that tra
3、ppings and destroy cane toads by volunteers and local people because cane toads rely on water and easy captured. In contact, the lecture suggests otherwise, it says that even though cane toads can be trapped by volunteer, these untrained volunteers also could destroy many of Australias frogs, some o
4、f which are endangered. Frogs and cane toads are similar especially when they are young. So this method would also destroy frogs.Finally, the reading contends that create a special virus that allow cane toads to get disease and other species not. But the lecture argues that this virus could cause other areas cane toads get disease either. The professor is able to carry cane toads to another country such like South America where cane toads are an important specie in local ecological circumstance.So this method is not effective.
