2、“too. to.”结构 【课文原句】 It was too dark for her to see anything. 里面太暗了，她什么也看不见。(八上P58) (1)too. to.意为“太而不能”，为典型的隐形否定 结构。too是副词，后接形容词或副词的原级，to后接动词 原形。 He is too young to join the army.他太年轻了，不能参军。,(2)too. to.结构常与以下结构相互转换：,【注意】 当too. to.前有否定词never时，表示肯定 含义。 Its never too late to learn. 活到老，学到老。,翻译句子。 1她太小了还
3、不能照顾自己。(too. to) _,She is too young to look after herself.,考点三 while的用法 【课文原句】 While she was falling, she was thinking about her cat, Dinah. 当她往下落的时候，她想到了她的猫，黛娜。(八上P58),(1)while是连词，意为“当的时候”。 His family was very poor while he was a student. 他上学的时候他家里很穷。 The mother was washing while her son was playin
4、g with a toy car. 母亲在洗衣服，她的儿子在玩一辆玩具汽车。,(2)while 还可作并列连词，意为“而；却”，表示对比关系。 He is strong while his brother is weak. 他长得很结实，而他弟弟却很瘦弱。 Lucy is in blue while Lily is in green. 露西穿着蓝色的衣服而莉莉穿着绿色的衣服。,(3)when与while的用法区别 两者都表示“当时”，when既指时间点，也可指一段 时间； while只指一段时间。因此when引导的时间状语从 句中的动词可以是延续性动词，也可以是非延续性动词； 而while从句
