Ask the students to make conversations. Step IV Grammar Ask the students to read the sentences in the Grammar Focus

6、and underline the verbs in them. Show the following. What did you do last weekend? I played soccer. We went to the beach. She did her homework. He went to the movie. They played tennis. T: The underlined parts in these sentences are called past form. And in English they formed the simple past tense.

7、 The simple past tense is one of the most common tenses in English. We use the simple past to refer to an action in the past that is finished. For example, I lived in Paris for 1 year. Sometimes the speaker may not actually mention the specific time, but they do have one specific time in mind. Look
