The festival is meant to celebrate the ending of the pa
4、st year and the beginning of the new year. During the holiday, people go back to hometown from everywhere no matter how far the distance is. Chinese will have a happy family union and feast on a delicious reunion dinner on the Spring Festival Eve. They believe thats the end day of last year and they
5、 will stay up for good luck until the first day of next year. Its customs for the Chinese families to set off fireworks or firecrackers and watch Spring Festival Gala. The celebration lasts for 15 days full of family togetherness, delicious food and good fortune. The Spring Festival is also the happ
6、iest time for children, because they can get lucky money from the elder.
