3、(adj.) - that can be resisted eg: This wish to get more money is resistible. irresistible - that can not be resisted eg: His wish to get more money is resistible, so he tries to steal. resist (v.)- oppose; keep oneself back from be undamaged or unaffected by 抵抗 ; 对抗 ; 不屈服于 , 忍耐 ; 不受 的影响 a)oppose eg:

Do you live in content? to ones hearts content - being completely satisfied. eg: We can swim in the river to our hearts content. The children enjoyed themselves to their hearts content. Par: When children are allowed to
10、 watch TV, they are completely satisfied to watch TV. (Children are allowed to watch TV to their hearts content.) Children are eating happily. The boys are dancing happily. content (adj.) (不做定语 ) - satisfied with what one has 满足的 ; 满意的 be content with. 3 eg: Im content with my salary now. He is not

Im content to stay here. content (v.) - make content; satisfy 使满足 to content sb. eg: Simple praise can content him. Par:60 marks can satisfy him. Nothing can make her satisfied.
