Pre-listening Background: 美容是指使容貌美丽的一门艺术。美容一词可以从两个角度来理解。首选是“容”这个字，其次是“美”。“容”包括脸、仪态、和修饰三层意思。“美”则具有形容词和动词的两层含义。形容词表明的是美容的结果和目的是美丽的，好看的；动词则表明的是美容的过程，即美化和改变的意思。因此简单的讲，美容是一种改变原有的不良行为和疾病(面部)，使之成为文明的、高素质的、具有可以被人接受的外观形象有活动和过程，或为达到此目的而使用的产品和方法。 美容来源于对不美现
2、象的敏感，从而导致对美的追求。美是美容的目标和结果，即能够被个人和社会所接受。美容是心理和生理的共同表现。所有的美容顾客，都认为自己在某一方面有一定的缺陷，而需要进行护理。随着人们消费意识和健康观念的提高，对美容类产品的选择也在不断发生着根本性的转变。不仅对产品的包装、规格、功效以及价格，服务等进行选择，同时也更加关注产品的品质和内涵是否满足自身健康和心理需求，是否符合科学严谨和时尚高雅的生活理念。今后美容的发展，必定会沿着科学、高效、安全、省时，经济之路发展。Learning focus: Useful expressions for beauty treatment :modeling j
