Students only listen. Play the recording a second time. Ask them to write the numbers in the blanks.Check the answers.

(1) hope 用于表示实现可能性很大的希望,常用句型为hope to do和hope (that), 不能说hope sb to do sth.。e.g. I hope to finish my homework before 6:00. 我希望在六点前完成作业。 I hope that you can come to meet my family. 我希望你能见我的家人。 (2) wish,意为“希望”,“愿望”,所表示的希望大体上是可以实现的,其句型是wish sb. to do sth.,

9、swers. Answers: 1.b 2.a 3.cStep V 2cHold a picture of Hawaii and say, I hope to visit Hawaii some day. Get a student to answer using the information in activities 2a and 2b. e.g. I do, too. I like places where the weather is always warm.Showing the picture of Mexico, ask two students to make a simil

10、ar conversation.Do the same with the third place Niagara Falls.Then ask the students to make conversations in pairs. After some minutes, get some pairs to say their conversations.Step VI Grammar FocusAsk the students to read the sentences together. Where would you like to visit? Id like to go somewh

11、ere relaxing.Underline the word relaxing. Ask them to pay attention to the order of somewhere and relaxing and then make similar sentences. (The adjectives usually come before the nouns e.g. an educational vacation, a tiring trip. But in the sentences that are using the word something or somewhere t

12、he adjective should be put after the pronouns.e.g. Id like to go somewhere fascinating. Id love to eat something delicious.)Ask the students to read the sentences together. Where would you like to visit? I hope to go to France some day.Underline the words some day and explain the sentence.(This sent

13、ence means I hope to go to France some day, but Im not sure I will. Maybe I will go there in the future and maybe I wont.)Then ask some students to make sentences with one day.Step VII Summary and HomeworkSummarize what the students have learnt and give them some homework.To remember the grammar focus.To do some exercises.根据汉语提示完成句子。(每空一词)1.
