Its my great honor and pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. I have been ready to begin this representation with seven parts: analysis of the teaching material a

2、nd students, teaching aims, important and difficult points, teaching methods, teaching aids, teaching procedures and writings on the blackboard. Part 1 Analysis of the teaching material and studentsThe content of my lesson is “ Visiting Britain” from Unit 12, Module 4. This unit is about culture sho

3、cks. By studying of this unit, well enable students to know different cultures and manners and develop the interest in cultures of other countries.At the same time, let the students learn how to use verbs followed by ing form or infinitive correctly. From this lesson, it starts from a reading passag

4、e focused on language. (As we all know, reading belongs to the input during the process of the language learning. The input has great effect on output, such as speaking and writing.) Therefore, this lesson is in the important position of this unit. If the students can master it well, it will be help

5、ful for them to learn the rest of this unit. After reading skills practising and language points learning, students can use these expressions: first of all, and a word of advice, I think we should consider doing, one last thing, etc. So, I design the third period of this lesson. Together with the ta

6、sk in Communication Workshop, we will write an informal letter using phrases learnt in Lesson 1. Tips are as follows. Students from No. 12 Senior High School wrote to us for advice about visiting our school. In the letter, they mentioned they were interested in playing basketball and they would like

7、 to have a discussion with us about British culture.Part 2 Teaching AimsAccording to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus, and after studying the teaching material, the teaching aims are the followings:1.Knowledge objects(1)The students can master the usage of the important words and express

8、ions. (2)The students can use verbs followed by ing form or infinitive in the proper situation. (3)The students can understand the content of the lesson, talk about British culture and get their own idea about what to do while visiting No. 14 Senior High School.2.Ability objects (1) To develop the s

9、tudents abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing (2) To guide students to set up effective studying strategies. (3) To improve the students writing ability.(4) To train the students abilities of studying by themselves and cooperating .3.Emotion or moral objects(1)By completing the task,

10、 the students increase their interest in British culture and set up self-confidence in English writing.(2)Teach the students respect visitors from other countries and friends from other schools. Part 3 the Important and Difficult PointsBased on the requirement of the syllabus.How to finish the tasks

11、 above effectively and how to help the students with their writing in groups properly.Part 4 Teaching MethodsFor achieving these teaching aims, I will use the following methods according to the modern social communication teaching theories. 1. Match the headings with the paragraphs (Individual work;1 min)Purpose: Enable students to understand the given material better by using different reading skills. And proper competit

16、ion can arouse the students interest in English learning. “Task-based” teaching method is used here to develop the students ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained.
