1、Module8Unit2The London Eye is on your right.一、教材分析：本模块以出行旅游为话题，通过大量的语言材料集中展示了纹路、支路、对某一区域进行描述的语言表达方式，同时对伦敦的一些著名景点和标志性建筑物也做了简单介绍。二、教学目标：（一）语言知识目标：1.正确使用下列单词和短语：tour, painting, clear, boat, off, tower, get off, turn left, turn right, go along, on the right, on the left.2.能够熟练运用下列句型：Take off the boat ba
2、ckGet off the boat at（二）语言技能目标：1.能够读懂对地图的描述，读懂对某一个地方的描述。2.能够根据地图讲清路线，描述某个地点的位置。（三）学习策略：1.能够将语言学习与实际应用结合起来。2.问路与指路应该有礼貌。（四）情感目标：乐于参加运用英语的实践活动，乐于了解其他国家的文化。三、教学过程：Step1 Warming upAsk the students some questions:Where have you been?Have you ever been to London? Which place do you know about London?Which
3、 place is the London Eye?Step2 Reading and vocabulary1. Read the tour of London and follow it on the map.Have the students look at the map and familiarize themselves with the places. Explain that they should draw the route given in the passage on their map.They can then check with a partner.2. Have
4、the students read the passage by themselves. Explain some important points. 辨析：above , over与on（1）above的
5、意思是“在之上”，可指“在斜上方”，既不接触，又不一定垂直，只是位置“高于”。The plane is flying above the clouds.The temperature will stay above zero in the daytime.（2）over的意思是“在之上”，常常可以和above替换，它着重指垂直在上，且不接触。还可以表示“盖在上面，铺在上面”，用作此意时，不能和above替换。The light is over/above the table.There is a picture over the blackboard.Spread the tablecloth

Play it again for them to check the meaning. Then ask them to wri
