5、man时， 将2个构成部分均变为复数,e.g: a woman teacher two women teachers a man nurse two men nurses,名词的所有格,1. 最基本的：,Mikes bag the boys knife,为 2人共同所有，在最后一个名词后加-s; 若不是 2人共同所有，则在 2个名词后都加-s,e.g 珍妮和海伦的房间 珍妮的房间和海伦的房间,Jenny and Helens room,Jennys and Helens room,3. 无生命的东西一般用“ of +名词”的形式表示其所有格,e.g the door of the room t

8、s brother,名词做定语,e.g a coffee cup a woman driver summer holiday a milk bottle a tooth brush,注意： 两周的假 一个10岁的男孩,a two-week vacation,a ten-year-old boy,睡2个小时的觉 做半小时车的路,two hours sleep,half an hours drive,主谓一致,当class, family, team, group, public 等集体名词做 主语时，如果看成一个整体，动词就用单数；看成一 个个具体成员时，就用复数。,e.g The class
9、waiting for her. Toms family _ rather big. Toms family _ are film fans.,is,are,2. news, maths, politics 表示单数意义，动词用单数。,e.g The news makes her very happy. Maths _ not easy for him.,is,are,3. 像chopsticks, shoes, glasses, trousers, 等表示复数含义的词，动词用复数。,e.g The shoes are hers.,但是: A pair of glasses _ on the
10、table. Two pairs of glasses _ on the table.,is,are,4. police, people(人们), youth(青年们) 只有单数形式， 但表示复数意义，动词用复数。,e.g The police are gathering in the street. The Chinese people _ peace.,love,但是: people当“民族”，youth当“男青年”讲时， 有单复数之分,e.g He is a youth of 20. Many English-speaking peoples _ this book.,like,5. 像
11、deer、sheep等单复同形的词，动词单复根据 具体情况定,e.g A deer is over there in the field. A group of deer _ over there in the field.,are,7. Ten dollars _ too much to pay.,is,is,has,is,9、e.g The old man with his two sons _ left for America . Miss Wang as well as his friends _ waiting there . 注: 由 as well as, together with, with, besides, but, except 等词连接两个名词做主语时，动词的 单复数根据as well as 等词前面的名词来定。,
